Create your account and get verified.
One online form opens your stockbroking account. It checks your identity against official records as you go, so most people are fully approved the moment they submit.
- An email address you can check right now
- Your BVN (dial *565*0# on your bank-registered line if you can’t remember it)
- Your NIN (dial *346# to retrieve it)
- A clear photo of one valid ID — NIN slip, international passport, driver’s licence or voter’s card
- A utility bill or bank statement from the last 3 months showing your home address
- Your bank account number (where withdrawals will be paid)
- 1
Create your account
Go to the MorganCapital website and choose Open an account. Enter your email address and choose a strong password. We’ll email you a 6-digit code — type it in and your account exists.
Tip · No code after a minute? Check your spam folder, and make sure the email address has no typos. The code expires after 10 minutes, but you can request a new one.
- 2
Verify your BVN and NIN
The first step of the KYC form asks for your phone number, BVN and NIN. We check both against the official records instantly — the same secure system your bank uses — and your registered name appears on screen within seconds.
🔒 Your details are encrypted and used only to verify your identity. We never see your bank password or PIN, and your BVN is never shown in full anywhere on the platform.
- 3
Tell us about yourself
Your home address, nationality and a few personal details — required by Nigerian regulations for every investment account. Adding a next of kin is optional; you can skip it and add one later.
- 4
Upload your two documents
First, a photo or scan of your ID. Then your proof of address — an electricity, water or waste bill, a bank statement, or your house rent receipt — dated within the last 3 months and showing your home address.
Tip · Lay the ID flat in good light with all four corners visible, and make sure it hasn’t expired. Phone photos are fine — we optimise them automatically.
Heads up · Choosing international passport or driver’s licence? You’ll also enter the issue and expiry dates printed on it. NIN slips and voter’s cards don’t need dates.
- 5
Add your settlement bank account
Enter the 10-digit account number where withdrawals and dividends should be paid. We confirm the registered account name with your bank automatically, so you’ll see your own name appear as a check.
Heads up · The account must be in your own name — the same identity as your BVN. Money can only ever leave the platform to you.
- 6
Agree and submit
Read the customer declaration, tick I agree and attach my digital signature, and submit. If your BVN and NIN checks matched your details — which they do for most people — your account is approved instantly. Otherwise our compliance team reviews it, usually within one business day, and emails you the decision.
- 7
Set your transaction PIN
A 4–6 digit PIN that authorises every investment and withdrawal — your final layer of protection. Choose it once and keep it to yourself.
🔒 MorganCapital staff will never ask for your PIN or password — not by phone, SMS or email. Anyone who does is not us.
Fund your wallet from any bank app.
Once you're verified you get a personal bank account number just for investing. Money you send to it appears in your MorganCapital wallet in seconds.
- 1
Find your personal funding account
Open Wallet in your dashboard. At the top is your dedicated 10-digit account number — a Wema Bank account in your own name, created just for you.
- 2
Transfer from your bank app
In any Nigerian banking app, make a normal transfer: pick Wema Bank, enter your MorganCapital account number, and confirm — the name check will show your own name. Send whatever you plan to invest; for the Dangote offer, at least the minimum investment shown on the offer page.
Heads up · Transfer from an account in your own name. Third-party deposits can be delayed or returned by compliance checks.
- 3
Watch it land
Your wallet balance updates within seconds, and you’ll get a confirmation in the app and by email. That money stays yours — it sits in your wallet until you choose to invest it, and you can withdraw it back to your settlement account at any time.

Three screens and a PIN. Then we handle the market plumbing — your CSCS account, your allotment, and your shares registered in your own name.
- 1
Open the offer
Go to Offers in your dashboard and open the Dangote offer. Everything you need to decide is on one page: the price per unit, the minimum investment, the closing date, and the official prospectus if you want the full detail.
- 2
Choose how much to invest
Enter an amount (or a number of units — we calculate one from the other) and review the summary. What you see is what you pay: the total simply moves from your wallet, with no hidden charges added on top.
- 3
Authorise with your PIN
Enter your transaction PIN to confirm. The amount is reserved from your wallet and you get an instant receipt with an order reference — plus a confirmation email for your records.
- 4
What happens next — all automatic
Your CSCS account: the Central Securities Clearing System opens an account in your name (this is where Nigerian shares legally live). We email you the number the moment it’s ready.
Your allotment: after the offer closes, allotment is confirmed. You’ll get an email with the outcome — and if demand means you receive fewer units than you subscribed for, the difference is refunded to your wallet automatically.
Your shares: allotted units are registered at CSCS in your own name — not ours. They’re yours, visible in your portfolio.
Tip · Every step comes with an email — payment received, CSCS ready, allotment confirmed — so you never have to wonder where things stand.
MorganCapital is licensed by the SEC and is a dealing member of the Nigerian Exchange. Your cash sits in your own wallet until you invest it, and shares are registered at CSCS in your name.
Any unallotted portion of your subscription is refunded to your wallet automatically — you’ll see it in the app and get an email.
Yes. The form saves every answer as you type. Close it, come back tomorrow, and it reopens exactly where you stopped.
Reach us on WhatsApp or through the contact page and a real person will walk you through it.
Fifteen minutes from now, you could be in.
Create your account, verify once, fund from any bank app — and subscribe to the Dangote offer before it closes.
